Cecilia studied Textile Science and Economics at Borås University (1992-1995). After that she took on her first job at JA Sweden as a regional manager in the county of Östergötland. She then joined the confederation of Swedish Employers’ and worked with youth communication and labor market issues. She later became head of department and chief operating officer of Entrepreneurship at the same organization.
In 2004 she started her own business in the Textile Science area and sold the same company in 2011. She then became CEO of the Swedish Freeschools’ Association and worked there for two years until the dream job came along – CEO for JA Sweden. Cecilia has worked for JA Sweden since 2013 and the organization has a penetration rate of 26 % of a year group upper secondary students that does the Company Program every year. JA Sweden has been awarded European Model Organization of the Year several times and won the finest price of them all in 2014 – Bata Quality Award.
