Location: Flexible / Remote

Contractual arrangement: Full-time employee or individual consultant

Availability: Immediate

Estimated salary/fee: 26.000 to 35.000 Euros gross based on experience

Key Areas of Responsibility  

  • Plan, design and provide direct supervision of the implementation of programs to ensure that deadlines are met and activities produce quality outputs within scope and budget;
  • Establish and manage relationships with national organisations’ teams and other key stakeholders (e.g. public and corporate donors, partner NGOs, employers, etc.);
  • Provide ongoing support and capacity building to the national organisations’ teams in conducting activities;
  • Contribute to the creation of a pipeline of curricula based on market validation and aligned with the strategy adopted at the country level;
  • Conduct scoping discussions with national organisations’ teams and implementation partners to ensure trainings address market and student needs;
  • Measure performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques;
  • Continuously collect and act on feedback to improve the quality of JA’s processes and services;
  • Contribute to the collection of valuable insights to share with JA’s leadership, teams and donors;
  • Write and review technical, narrative, and financial reports of key project activities. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (international development, social studies, business, etc.);
  • Approximately 2 to 4 years working experience as project/programme manager;
  • Previous experience in education or workforce development programs;
  • A “can-do” approach to life and the ability to produce work to high standard, including attention to detail;
  • High level of personal commitment to duties, timelines and deadlines;
  • Outstanding project management skills;
  • Excellent operational, administrative and organisational skills;
  • Strong IT Skills, including Microsoft Excel;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Fluency in English (fluency in any other European language appreciated);
  • Ability to complete tasks on tight deadlines without compromising quality;
  • Entrepreneurial attitude and collaborative disposition;
  • Comfortable working in an international setting with individuals from diverse backgrounds and working styles;
  • Ability to embrace a dynamic work environment and accustomed to performing under pressure;
  • Ability to embrace remote interactions (e.g. videoconference, phone calls, etc.);
  • Solution-oriented mindset and innovative thinker.
