We are looking for an intern for a period of 12 months to remotely join the Business Development team of Europe’s leading organisation providing entrepreneurship, work readiness and financial health programmes for youth. Junior Achievement has been nominated two times for the Nobel Peace Prize and deliver every year more than 6 million learning experiences to young people across Europe.

With us you will get a hands-on experience with creating, developing and implementing pan-European business development opportunities.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Assist with drafting proposals, presentations, reference material, and other documents as required; 
  • Prepare the BD team for meetings/conferences, such as research of the organisation and prepare relevant meeting materials; 
  • Conduct market research and identifying potential clients / new business opportunities by researching the appropriate contact in an organisation, generating leads and cold call prospective customers, arranging meetings for the CEO/Deputy CEO, etc;    
  • Follow-up on client outreach/ meetings with partners; 
  • Support the BD team to accomplish set goals and objectives;  
  • Cultivate strong relationships with different stakeholders;  
  • Work closely with staff across departments to implement needed tasks;  
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines;  
  • Support on the program’s contract execution and associated funding arrangements.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with various levels of management, staff, and clients; 
  • Proactive attitude and high level of personal commitment to duties, timelines and deadlines;   
  • Ability to embrace a dynamic work environment and accustomed to performing under pressure;   
  • Eagerness to learn and a willingness to “roll up one’s sleeves” and do what is needed to get the job done;  
  • Well-honed research techniques;   
  • Excellent attention to detail in written work;   
  • Strong command of the Microsoft Office suite;  
  • Demonstrated poise, tact, integrity, and professionalism;  
  • Fluent English, other European languages are an asset;
  • Interest in education, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, youth employment, and key trends in international development;  
  • Knowledge of the education sector or JA operations is a plus.

Salary: 7 EUR/hour for a maximum of 132 hours a month.
