We are looking for an intern for a period of 12 months to remotely join the Business Development team of Europe’s leading organisation providing entrepreneurship, work readiness and financial health programmes for youth, who has been nominated 2 times for the Nobel Peace Prize.
With us you will get a hands-on experience with creating, developing and implementing pan-European EU Grants opportunities.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Work closely with the Business Development team in the development and execution of proposals to the private and public sectors;
- Identify new business opportunities and new partnerships across Europe to increase JA Europe’s network of partners and donors;
- Identify calls for proposals and tenders that fit JA Europe’s expertise and focus;
- Reads and interprets requests for proposals and funding guidelines from government agencies and foundations to determine if appropriate for JA and how best to respond and comply;
- Work closely with the Corporate Partnership Manager in coordinating proposals development and outreaching project partners;
- Facilitate grant efforts, including grant approval process and post-award compliance;
- Ensure timelines are met;
- Monitor post-award grant compliance;
- Follow up with funding agencies and consortia partners as necessary.
- Support data management on the EU Funding & tenders portal
- Assist in drafting presentations, reference material, email templates and other documents as required;
- Assisting the Business Development team with other ad hoc tasks as required, with the flexibility to support the wider team goals.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Previous experience in the no profit sector is a plus
- BA/BS degree in Business, Marketing, Political Science, European Studies or related areas
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written. Knowledge of other European languages is a plus.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with various levels of management, staff, and clients.
- Good spreadsheet skills (Excel) and numeracy
- Good copywriting and presentation skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Good organisation, time-management and forward planning
- Strong work ethics and ability to work independently and in a team
- Knowledge of the education sector or JA operations is a plus
Salary: 7 EUR/hour for a maximum of 132 hours a month.
