Title: Programmes Consultant (Maternity Leave Coverage)

Position Overview

This role will be pivotal in supporting the coordination of multiple European projects, collaborating with member organizations across Europe, and ensuring the smooth execution of various initiatives aimed at enhancing youth education and empowerment.

Type of Contract: Consultancy

Location: Flexible within Europe (remote)

Available Budget: 10,000 EUR for 530 hours during the mentioned period

Deadline: Rolling basis until the position is filled

Period: May – August 2024 (4 months)

Key Areas of Responsibility and Deliverables

  • Project Coordination: Assist in the coordination of European-wide projects aimed at promoting entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and employability skills among young people. 
  • Member Organization Liaison: Serve as a primary point of contact for member organizations across Europe, providing support, guidance, and fostering collaboration to ensure project objectives are met. 
  • Report Writing: Prepare comprehensive reports detailing project progress, outcomes, and impact for internal stakeholders, funders, and external partners. 
  • Meeting Organization: Organize and facilitate meetings. 
  • Communication and Collaboration: Maintain regular communication with project stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and ensuring alignment of goals and objectives. 
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support as needed. 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.  
  • Organizational Abilities: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively, with keen attention to detail and deadlines. 
  • Team Player: Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment, fostering positive relationships with colleagues and external partners. 
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify challenges, propose solutions, and adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-paced, dynamic organization. 
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), as well as experience with virtual collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams). 
  • Passion for Youth Empowerment: Commitment to Junior Achievement Europe's mission and values, with a genuine interest in empowering young people to reach their full potential.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree 
  • Previous experience in project coordination or non-profit administration is preferred but not required. 
  • Familiarity with Junior Achievement and Junior Achievement’s programmes is a plus. 
  • Familiarity with the European education landscape and youth empowerment initiatives is a plus.
