Empowering the Future: Merging AI into Entrepreneurship Education

Emma Kiraly, Senior Programme Manager

In the digital age, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is advancing at an astonishing pace. The developments we have witnessed in AI, including the rapid evolution of ChatGPT and the cutting-edge technologies developed by OpenAI, raise intriguing questions about the future of education.

Will schools and universities need to quickly develop systems to track whether homework and theses have been generated by AI or are the work of the students themselves? Could  written work become redundant, leading to a greater emphasis on interviews and verbal examinations to truly assess knowledge and understanding?

As we embrace the potential of AI, we must also grapple with the ethical questions it poses. While AI holds immense promise, we must be vigilant about its potential misuse. What safeguards do we need to put in place to ensure AI technology is used for good and not for criminal purposes? How can we equip our young learners with the ethical framework and critical thinking skills necessary to navigate these complex challenges?

At Junior Achievement Europe, we believe in addressing these concerns head-on. By integrating AI into our entrepreneurship education programmes, we not only equip young people with the technical skills needed for the future, but also foster a deep understanding of the ethical implications and societal impact of AI. We aim to empower our students to become responsible digital citizens, capable of harnessing the potential of AI for positive change while guarding against its potential pitfalls.

This ambitious project is just the beginning of our journey towards shaping a future where AI and human potential go hand in hand. Together with our consortium partners, we are committed to developing innovative solutions that prepare young minds for the ever-evolving landscape of technology and its impact on society.

Join us on this exciting venture as we explore the frontiers of AI, education, and entrepreneurship. Together, let's unlock the boundless possibilities and navigate the uncharted territories that lie ahead.
