The third and last webinar to celebrate the FERD's List 2020 on 12 November featured another two inspirational JA Alumni: Jonas Alexandersson, Founder & COO of UserTribe; and Victoria Mbabazi, Founder & CEO of Kitchen Station. Moderated by Johan Andresen, Owner & Chairman FERD and Jānis Krievāns, CEO JA Latvia, they discussed about the critical role of technology in developing entrepreneurship and local economies. Boris Kolev, Head of Digital Transformation at JA Europe and 2017 FERD’s List Honouree also participated in the discussion.

The 6th edition of The Entrepreneurial School (TES) Awards took place virtually on 9 November 2020 as part of the European Vocational Skills Week. 39 innovative academic and vocational schools from 25 European countries were selected at the national level for their cutting-edge vision and outstanding implementation of entrepreneurship education programmes. 51 headmasters and teachers gathered online to receive their school's award and connect in engaging debates.

The second webinar to celebrate the FERD's List 2020 on 5 November featured another three inspirational JA Alumni: Jennifer Crawley, UK Head of Business Management for Small Business Banking of HSBC UK; Karoli Hindriks, CEO & Founder of Jobbatical; and Charles Kim, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Alpine Global. Moderated by Johan Andresen, Owner & Chairman FERD and Salvatore Nigro, CEO JA Europe, they discussed about the critical role of entrepreneurs in economic growth and development. Andrzej Truszczynski, CEO of TKHolding and 2019 FERD’s List Honouree also participated in the discussion.

With the support of M&G plc, Junior Achievement are enriching and scaling a successful national enterprise competition created by Young Enterprise (YE) UK across several markets in Europe: France, Germany, Poland, Ireland, Spain and Italy as well as the UK. The 10x Challenge programme will provide social and sustainable benefits to young people, their teachers and their communities, while fostering skills such as entrepreneurship, financial capability, collaboration and digital interaction.

The COVID-19 pandemic is having a huge impact on society and especially on young people. The last statistics prove it: youth unemployment is again on the rise, with more than 3 million young people already concerned in Europe1. More than ever, efforts are needed to support young people and avoid a lockdown generation.
