Empowering Social Innovation in Spain with NN

03 November 2016

JA Spain and Nationale-Nederlanden Spain organized an Innovation Camp to promote social integration of people with intellectual disabilities. Students of ESO, Baccalaureate, FP and Aprocor have worked together on coming up with social innovations.

The challenge the participants were given was to develop initiatives that will facilitate young people find their vocation. The result was a success! The students were grouped in ten teams of five, each team working side by side with volunteers Nationale-Nederlanden, who offered them support and guidance throughout the day. It was a day of learning and collaboration, in which participants also received a workshop on ideation tools and design thinking that helped them develop their projects.

"Work with me" was the project that took home the first prize. "Work with me" is an application that allows young people to get enrolled in training opportunities within companies, that can guide them towards their studies and their professional future.

The application also allows the youngsters to insert their interests and motivations in the format of a CV for the company. The selection of candidates is based on the match between their interests and what the companies can offer.

The event is an initiative organized by the Junior Achievement Foundation Spain in collaboration with Nationale-Nederlanden Spain, which aims to promote entrepreneurship among young people and promote social inclusion.
