JA Europe & NN Group extend partnership

JA Europe and NN Group are starting the third year of their global partnership dedicated to empowering young people to embrace social innovation and master their own economic future.

In the first 2 years of partnership we have impacted more than 16,000 students, with the support from 260 NN volunteers. More than 600 teachers took part in the programmes and more than 1,000 ideas for social innovation were generated.

With the several programmes we support we want to encourage students to embrace social innovation and entrepreneurship to tackle societal challenges. We believe that by doing so they will gain important skills required in any job or business.We are excited to continue working together on achieving our mutual goals,” said Fleur Hudig, Head of Corporate Citizenship at NN Group.

Going forward NN Group and JA Europe will implement even more types of activities in those countries, notably:

• Social Innovation Relay (SIR), a global initiative which brings together experienced business mentors and students to advance real world social problem-solving in their local communities and beyond. 11 countries will implement SIR: Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, NL, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Japan and Singapore.
• Social Innovation Camps in 8 countries: Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary, NL, Romania, Spain and Turkey
• Job Shadow Days, giving the opportunity to JA alumni to shadow NN volunteers for one day in Hungary, Luxembourg, Poland, Spain and Japan.
