Junior Achievement joins UNESCO's Global Education Coalition
06 May 2020To ensure that children can #KeepLearning, Junior Achievement has joined UNESCO's Global Education Coalition to support countries affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
The Coalition seeks to facilitate inclusive learning opportunities for children and youth during this period of sudden and unprecedented educational disruption. “We are delighted to play our part and collaborate with the international community to support the education sector in the COVID-19 crisis. We firmly believe in the power of partnerships for a collective response”, says Salvatore Nigro, JA Europe’s CEO. The multi-sector initiative launched by UNESCO involves different stakeholders, aiming to mitigate the impact that school closures across the globe will have on vulnerable children and youth by providing appropriate distance education for all learners.
